About the Artist

Ellen is a expressive artists who shares her love of animals through her paintings.   Cows have always been a part of Ellen’s life.   In Ellen’s younger years she would visit her grandparents dairy farm in Sunbury, Ohio where there were many opportunities to  learn about life on a dairy farm.  Later in life, in her 40’s, art found Ellen and she became a  self-taught artist,  learning from other artists as well as taking misc. classes to help her along the way.  After having a studio in Downtown Columbus and starting to create a client base , Ellen decided to study classical fine art with Michael Cooley (www.cooleystudios.com) Worthington Ohio.  Learning classical fine art has created a more focused artist in Ellen.  The ability to see more clearly is a skillset that has helped her art move forward, become more detailed and more personal.   Ellen plans on studying illustration in 2019 to add yet another skill set to offer the public.    Contact Ellen for  commission work – which includes but not limited to pets , portraits and still life oil paintings .
